You are in the right place. Welcome to the Faith Mom. Mentor. If you've ever felt that deep, quiet exhaustion, you are not alone. It's not just a physical tiredness, it's something heavier, something that sleep doesn't fix. And often right behind that tiredness is guilt. Guilt that you're not enjoying this season, more guilt that you're not being the mom you want to be.
But what if I told you the reason you feel drained isn't everything you have to do. It's something you're carrying. That's what completely changed things for me. Most of us try to fix this feeling the same way. Rest more, get organized, take a break, and those things help for a moment. But when the feeling comes right back, why?
Because you are trying to fix a heart problem with a life solution. It's like washing a car that won't start. The outside looks better, but the engine is still struggling. And if you've been feeling this tired on the inside, I want to gently say, there is nothing wrong with you. You're just carrying something you are never meant to carry.
Here's what many moms don't realize. The exhaustion isn't from doing too much, it's from carrying the weight of. Trying to be enough, trying to be patient all the time, trying to say the right thing, trying not to mess up. And when we do mess up, we hide. When we don't say the right thing, we hide, we hide it, we push it down, we move on, we keep going, but inside we're still carrying it.
That's where the weight comes from. There's a moment in Psalm 32 that explains this perfectly. David says, when I kept silent, my strength was dried up. Not because of his responsibilities, not because of his schedule, but he was keeping silent. That's the key. He was holding onto what he should have brought to God, and that silent was exhausting him.
Now, you may not feel like you're hiding something big, but think about the small moments, the tone you regret, the impatience you wish you could take back. The comparison you feel scrolling. Social media, what do we do with those? We keep silent and those small moments they add up like carrying rocks in your pocket all day long.
No wonder you feel heavy. That's exactly why I created a simple, gentle resource for you. It's a free five day Bible study from guilt to grace. Walking, you step by step through Psalm 32. It will help you release that weight instead of carrying it. You can grab it in the show notes. The link is there for you.
David shows us the shift in Psalm 32. I acknowledge, he said, I did not cover, I confessed. And what happened? God removed the guilt, not because David tried harder, but because he stopped hiding. And this is where the gospel changes everything. Because your forgiveness doesn't depend on your performance. It was already secured through Jesus, his death, his burial, his resurrection.
That's why you don't have to carry the weight anymore. Let's go back to the driveway moment. Instead of sitting there in everything, you can shift and pray. God, I was impatient today. Thank you that I'm already forgiven because of Jesus. Please lift this weight and give me your peace. Yeah, that's it. Not a long process, not a perfect prayer, just honesty and receiving what's already been given.
And if you want help making this a daily rhythm, that's exactly what the, from Guilt to Grace study walk you through. It's simple scripture based. Real life application, you'll find the link waiting for you in the show notes. When you stop carrying guilt, everything shifts. You respond with more gentleness, you feel less pressure to be perfect, and your home feels lighter because you're no longer leading from guilt.
You're leading from Grace, and if this is speaking to you, I want to invite you to listen to episode 30 on Psalm 12. Why being a nice mom might be hurting your middle schooler because sometimes what feels like doing the right thing is actually pulling your child away. From Truth. In that episode, you'll learn why being a nice mom isn't enough.
How to guide your child's identity in Christ, not culture and more. That episode will give you clarity for your next step. And if you feel drained today, it's not because you're failing, it's because you've been carrying something you were never meant to carry. And God's invitation is simple. Come not when you're fixed.
Not when you've done better. Just come and let him replace your guilt with grace, your weight with peace. Before you go, remember this, you are doing sacred work as you nurture faith in your home and it matters more than you realize. Thank you for choosing to spend this time growing stronger and steadier in truth.
