If you are ready to stop guessing, start leading with confidence and grow a faith, your family can actually live out. You are in the right place. Welcome to the Faith Mom Mentor. Breakthrough begins When you see the greatness of God and personally respond, he is our Lord. Psalm eight opens with this declaration, oh Lord, our Lord.
How excellent is thy name in all the earth? God's name, his character, his authority, his power feels the earth and reaches beyond. The heavens, and here's the transformation. Breakthrough doesn't begin when life changes. It begins when your view of God changes. Mom, can I ask you, have you been looking at your problems more?
Thing you've been looking at, your God, David, in this Psalm, chapter eight doesn't just say the Lord, he says our Lord. This is where everything changes. Because breakthrough is not just knowing about God, it's belonging to God. It's turning our heart toward him in faith saying, you are just not God. You are my God, my personal God.
And when that becomes real fear loses his authority. Confusion loses its voice and peace begins to take root. Psalm eight says, God uses what is weak to silence the enemy. That means you don't need to be perfect. You don't need to have all the answers. You do not need to be the perfect mom. You just need a willing heart that will honor and reverence and hear the Lord and mom.
This means your child doesn't need perfection either. They need to see real. Faith in action. The Bible goes on to say, when I consider thy heavens, your middle schooler is learning about the world. Right now, they are learning science and systems, their body, the stars, but here's what they must not. Miss.
They are not discovering randomness. They are discovering God's design. And when they see that, it builds confidence, not confusion. What is man that you are mindful of him? This Psalm eight goes on to say, you see God is so big and so powerful, so beyond anything that we can imagine and yet he thinks about us.
He cares about our children. He sees our home. Let that settle in your heart for a moment. The God who holds the universe together is mindful of you. Psalm eight tells us, you are crowned with glory and honor. You are entrusted, you are not insignificant. And this is exactly where anxiety begins to break because anxiety often grows from the lie.
I'm not enough. I don't matter. I can't handle this, and that's why I want to invite you to listen to episode 22, the Lie That's Fueling Your Tween Anxiety. In that episode, I walk you through why anxiety often begins with beliefs about identity. How negative voices shape your child's confidence and the three powerful declarations David made in Psalm chapter three.
And that episode will help you take what we're talking about today and put it into daily practice with your child. Now, let's go a little bit deeper, because this is foundational of everything. The greatest breakthrough is not just. Seeing God as creator, it's knowing him as Savior. God created the world.
He created you. He gave you purpose, but sin separated every human being from God. But here's the good news. Jesus came. Jesus, the son of God came and lived a perfect life, fully pleasing to the Father. He showed us what love looks like, and then he did what we could never do. He took our sin upon himself.
He died on the cross. He was buried, and God raised him from the dead on day three. Why? Because the father was pleased with the sacrifice that Jesus had given, and through Jesus' sacrifice. We, you I, your child, your middle schooler can be forgiven. We can be made new. We can belong to God again. Scripture says, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
Breakthrough begins here, not with effort, not with striving, but with faith in Jesus Christ. And when you believe you truly say He is our. Lord, so what's the real breakthrough moment? It's this when you decide to see God. When you decide to hear God and when you respond in faith to God and say, Lord, you are our God.
Here's something simple you can do today. Sit down with your child, with your middle schooler. Read P some eight together and ask three questions. What does this show us about God? What does this show us about us? And what should we do or believe and then say, together, Lord, you are our Lord. You don't need everything in your life to change.
You need your view of God to rise because everything changes when you see God rightly. That is your breakthrough. Before you go, remember this, you are doing sacred work as you nurture faith in your home, and it matters more than you realize. Thank you for choosing to spend this time growing stronger and steadier in truth.
