Are you finding it challenging to carve out one quiet moment with God amidst your busy mom schedule?
Today, we'll explore a transformative approach to seeking God, not from a place of duty or obligation, but from a desire for relationship, and 📍 📍 📍 I am thrilled to welcome Anita Kaige, an inspiring author and the founder of Joy Shop Ministries.
Anita's journey is truly remarkable. She became a mother as a teenager, and through that season of surrender, found a deep calling to help others discover how to prioritize their relationship with God in practical ways. Anita is the author of the book Seeking God First, which equips women to make time with God a priority in their life.
Anita, welcome to the Faith Mom Mentor. Thank you so much. I love when God opens doors and opportunities to just encourage moms, because we all need encouragement in the crazy culture and lifestyle that we have today. You know, it's different from when I was a young mom. It's just really challenging, I feel, for mothers today.
And so I, I thank God that as I turn 70, He's allowing me to encourage younger moms, uh, to seek God first, because it's gotta be a top priority to survive, uh, in the world we live in today. So, thank you so much. Yeah. Well, I'm so glad you're here to speak into the lives of these moms who have kids that are eight to 12.
And I would just like us to start with, what does it really mean to seek God first, and why can it feel so challenging? I love that 📍
question because I was actually in a season of life where I was very busy with four children, uh, junior high and high school age, and we had a business, uh, we had a large property that I had to take care of 'cause my husband was a produce farmer and he was gone a lot working, and a lot of things fell on me as a mom.
And I'm sure your audience is gonna relate to this. I felt like that hamster in the wheel just going round and around and around and just exhausted. And along with that exhaustion, in the back of my mind was this weight of wanting my children to know Jesus, wanting them to value time reading the Bible, and, you know, you can't make that happen.
And yet you feel burden, like, oh, my word, what if I fail in teaching this to my children somehow? So that was, you know, that's in the back of my head. Uh, and I'm trying to do all the right things. You know, pay the, pay the bills, raise my kids, feed everyone, be in women's Bible study, stay in shape. You know?
There's just all of these things that weigh on women today. And so I was at that spot, uh, 20-some years ago, and I remember just coming home and being so frustrated and struggling inside. And for some reason, I just walked into my living room, I just looked up to the ceiling, threw up my hands, and I said, "God, where is this abundant life you've promised me?
Because I don't have it." I know you love me and I love you, but I just don't have life. I'm exhausted. I'm wore out, and I, I don't understand. And in that moment, you know, these desperate cries we give to God, y- it always blows my mind, in those moments of desperation, he shows up. And, uh, I didn't hear an audible voice or anything, but in my spirit, I heard him.
This is what I heard in my heart, "Anita, I know you love me, and I know you're seeking me, but you don't seek me first. Like, you have your to-do list of everything you've gotta get done that day, and then if you have a few minutes, you try to slip in some time with me. And you know what? That isn't working."
And right away, I went to Matthew 6:33. If you look at the preceding verses, starting in, I believe, 25, Jesus is addressing these people on the mountain, and he's saying, "Why do you worry?" You know, "Why do you worry about what you wear, what you eat?" Uh, he said, "The heathen do that. Instead, seek me first, then all these things will be added on to you."
And that's when the light bulb went off in my head, and I was like, "Oh, my word, I'm not prioritizing my time with God first." And I looked up the definition of first. Well, what does it mean to seek God first? Well, it means foremost of importance, means first thing. Um, and I just decided that I was hearing truth that day.
And I said, I, I... to myself, I didn't say this to the Lord. I said to myself, "Well, I'm gonna put him to the test." I am gonna practice every morning getting up before the day starts, because for me, once the day starts, it's gone, you know? That's my nature, my personality. So I knew if I was gonna seek Him first, like, first thing, uh, that it would have to be early in the morning.
So I began setting my alarm, and I began opening my Bible and just, uh, prioritizing my day around our time. You know, my time with the Lord had to be first, and then everything else would get done after that. And, uh, it's a dis- you know, it was a discipline to do that, and there were mornings I didn't feel like getting up early.
I didn't get any sleep the, the night before. Uh, I would be dealing with anxiety, like, all kinds of things, but it didn't matter. I got up first thing every morning to spend time with Him. And so as I began to just practice that discipline, that's when my eyes were opened to the fact... I was 48. I remember it as clear as day, and I still get emotional talking about it, but I'd been a Christian all my life.
I got saved at five. My dad was a pastor. I remember asking, inviting Jesus into my heart, and, uh, I always had a desire to know God. I always wanted to read my Bible, but... And by 16, I had read through the Bible in its entirety, and I, I loved that list, checking off things to do, you know? And I could do that until I got married and started having children, and then all of a sudden, those things become your top priority, and s- next thing you know, you're not opening your Bible.
And so, uh, I had been distracted, busy. I allowed all those things to fill my life instead of seeking God first, and after months of practicing that, Anne, I saw a difference in how I faced my day. And here's the other thing to you mothers that are listening to this. Because of my upbringing, um, again, I was very blessed to be raised in a Christian home, and my parents modeled reading your Bible.
They modeled having devotions. Like, I knew how to do all of this stuff, you know? Uh, but, um, I- When I became a mom and then the kids got older, especially going into junior high and high school, there was this, "Oh, how... You know, I wish they would read their Bible, and I wish, you know, this or that." And in that desperate cry to God when I said, "Where's the life that I don't have?"
I honestly saw him, or pictured him speaking into my life and saying, "Listen, I know you want your children to follow Jesus and to find reading the Bible important, but you know what? If they don't see you modeling, if it's not important to you, why would it be important to them?" And it was like I saw him s- putting duct tape over my mouth, and saying, "Keep quiet.
Just you, you seek me first. And leave your children, leave your husband, leave them to me. You are not the Holy Spirit in their life." And I received that and thought, I'm gonna trust God, that as I, as I choose to seek him first every day, to s- prioritize that time with him, he will take care of my children, their spiritual life.
And I'm gonna say, as the years went on, I will never forget the day I got the paycheck. Uh, because when you spend time with God every day, and we'll talk about that later, but there's peace that comes, there's joy that comes, and life. And my... I had twin boys. I had two girls, but then I had these twin boys who took me to another level of parenthood.
And, uh, I'll never forget them coming up to me and saying, "Mom, what's different? We want what you have." And that was like, wow. You know, when they ask, that opens the door. That means they're receptive, and they've seen something that they actually want. Yeah. And so that would be my, one of my encouragements to the moms that are watching this.
You know, the best gift you give your family is prioritizing that relationship with Jesus and being in his word daily. 📍 📍 📍 And so there's more I could say, but I'm sure we'll cover that in a bit. But I don't know, did I answer your question? Well, the question was, what does it really mean to seek God first, and why can it feel so challenging?
I think you did answer that question, because you, you told us that it means to seek him with priority. Mm-hmm. And you told us that it means to, that things will come at us. But you, I love the way you said the payoff. The payoff was there. And I heard two payoffs. One, you s- you had strength in your own life.
But two, you saw the, your kids saw the transformation. And it wasn't like you were setting them, setting standards for them that you were not keeping. Yeah. You were modeling those standards for them with a quiet heart. Mm-hmm. What we sometimes call quiet time with God is essential for our q- spiritual growth, and it sounds like it's essential because it's quiet time for us.
It's time for us to just be quiet and let God do his work in us. So, um, I'm wondering, though, about this payoff that you talked about, the transformation. Mm-hmm. For those who are, for those of us who, who just feel overwhelmed with life, who feel all the hustle and bustle, who, who really don't feel like they have the, they have the bandwidth to get up early or to stay up late or to make Bible study a priority, how can we begin to view this time with God for the payoff, for the beginning of true transformation, instead of just, as you put it, another checkbox to complete?
So, how can the overwhelmed mom begin to view God and view t- this quiet time with God as beginning of true transformation? Well, Anne, I can only speak from my personal experience of revelation. You know, I have learned in life I c- I have so much head knowledge, but until certain truths are revealed, I just don't get it, you know?
And so a very powerful thing happened in my life, a powerful revelation that changed the way I looked at my Bible. And I don't wanna take all day, but I'll try to shorten it by saying before I had the revelation about, oh, I need to seek God first, a few years earlier, he had given me the first revelation about his word.
And how as a Christian, because I grew up with the Bible, I took it for granted. I mean, I knew it was important, but usually I had to make myself read the Bible and, you know, it was a challenge to find it even enjoyable, you know? 'Cause it was kinda like homework in many ways. And so, uh, I will backpedal to say where that all changed was at 17 as a pastor's daughter, I had gotten pregnant out of wedlock.
And back then, uh, in the ancient days , um, you know, that was not good, you know? And because of the circumstances around me getting pregnant, and I had supportive parents when... You know, the hardest thing in the world was telling my parents I was pregnant, 'cause they were the most godly people I've ever known.
Uh, honestly, they walked their talk, and they loved unconditionally. I always knew I was loved by them and, and they modeled grace and forgiveness when I came to them telling them I was pregnant. But, you know, I had a tough decision to make at 17, and through prayer and just the circumstances, I felt God was leading me to place my child for adoption.
And back then, adoptions were closed, and honestly, it was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life, was to give up my first child, my daughter. I didn't even get to see her or hold her, and the day I left the hospital was, like, the hardest day of my life because I was leaving a piece of me behind.
And, um I could only ask God to place her in a good Christian home, you know, with a mom and dad that love the Lord. I wanted her to be in a home like I was raised. And, uh, you know, I had to trust Him for that. But, uh, for 21 years, I, I didn't know where she was. I really didn't know anything. Uh, but as ... So then eventually I went to college, and then I got married.
And, you know, the Lord blessed my husband and I with four children, but I never forgot my daughter. And I wondered if she knew how much I loved her. 'Cause even though I'd never seen her, you know, I, I loved her. And anyway, I decided one day to call the agency to update my records because I thought, you know, if my daughter as an adult ever wants to find me, I'm gonna make it easy for her.
Because more than anything, I just, I did want a relationship with her. But I did give up those rights, you know? And I wasn't her mother. You know, I was a birth mom, but I wasn't her parent, you know? And so, um, anyway, so I called the agency. I gave my married name, address, phone number. And it was in that phone c- call that I found out I could start a file at the agency.
They told me I could write my daughter letters, send her pic- send pictures of myself. They would put it in a file. And when she turned 18, legally from that point on, if she reached out to them to re- want information about her birth parents, they could give her this file with letters. And I was so Happy that I had a way to communicate how much I loved her, and that I was open to a relationship if she was ever ready for that.
So I began sending in the letters. Well, fast-forward, she turned 18, 19, 20, 21, and nothing happened. And at that point, I just decided, you know, what if she doesn't know there's this file that has these letters for her in? And so after talking to my husband first, I called the agency and I said, "I don't know if this is legal, if this is possible, but is there a way you can find my daughter and let her know there's a file and that there's letters for her?"
I said, "I know I, I can't make her get the file or open those letters, but I, I just wanted her to know she was loved." And I'm not naive. I know a lot of children, when you're adopted, you experience, not everyone maybe, but a lot do experience abandonment and rejection issues. It's a hard thing. They didn't ask to be adopted, you know?
It, it's hard. And so, uh, I just wanted her to know she was loved. So anyway, they said they couldn't promise, but they would try, and within a week, uh, I got a phone call saying they had found her. I was shocked to find out she was married and had just had a little baby girl her- herself, which made me a grandma.
Uh, this would've been my first grandchild. And, uh, but they said she needed time to think about it, you know. She needed to talk to her husband and her parents. And, you know, I didn't know if she would decide to open that file. But what they did tell me is she would write... She was willing to send a letter to me to let me know how she was doing, that is, through the agency.
And so, uh, wow, that letter came. Uh, everywhere I speak, I show the letter, because when that letter came, you know, for the first time, I'm like, oh, my word, she's real. You know, when you've never seen a child, you wonder, are they real? I mean, you know they are, but it doesn't feel real. And, uh, and I found out as I read the letter that she loved the Lord, so I was like, oh, thank you, Jesus.
After all these years, I now know you answered my prayers. And I knew if she didn't wanna meet me here, I would meet her in heaven. And so these were, these were big things to me. Uh, 📍 📍 📍 but anyway Do you think I just read that letter one time? No. Um, you probably read it multiple times, over and over again. I, yeah.
It was a treasure. I guarded it with my life. Mm-hmm. And, um, and there's more to the story. Eventually we did meet each other, and w- maybe we'll talk about that later. But, um, because of that experience, uh, after I met my, my daughter, birth daughter, uh, one day I had my Bible open. And I wasn't seeking God first at this point.
Uh, this was when I was in what I call the part-time seeker stage. I spent time with God when it suited me. Okay? So, uh, one morning I open my Bible, and I'm in, uh, the reading for the day was Acts chapter 17. And this is when God gave me a revelation that would forever change, you know, the way I look at the Bible, and it solved my problem of going from a part-time seeker to a persistent seeker.
It's where Paul's in Athens, and he sees all these idols in town, in this religious town, might I say, and one idol, uh, s- he notices is engraved to an unknown God. So I love this. He calls everyone together, all the religious people, uh, who worship God, but they're worshiping a god they don't know. And so he says, "This god you worship, you don't know.
I'm gonna tell you who he is." And he goes on to say, "This god created you to seek him and to reach out and find him, and he's not that far away from you. As your own poets have said, we are his offspring." And it was the two words, seek and offspring, that jumped off the page, and there was an instant revelation.
I heard Jesus saying, "Anita, you know how you wanted your daughter to seek you, to find you. That's how I feel about all my children. I want them to find me. And you know how you started a file and wrote letters telling her you loved her and you wanted to be in a relationship. That is the purpose of my word."
The scriptures, the Bible, it's, that is a big file full of letters for my children, my offspring, and those letters confirm, just like your letters confirmed, I love all my children. And I want them to find me. But just like you couldn't make Twyla get those letters and wanna know you, neither can I make my kids want to find me and read my letters, and you know how that feels And, and that's the day God really broke my heart because I knew that pain of loving someone so much, and wanting them to know I love them, and that I wanna be a part of their life, but I couldn't make it happen.
She had to give me that invitation into her world. And I just for the first time got a small taste of our heavenly Father who loves us so much, and he wants to walk with us through our crazy, hectic life, and all the challenges that today's culture presents. But he sits and waits. He waits until he's given that invitation.
And then he s- again, when I say I heard him say, it was never audible, it was just in my spirit, but I also heard him convict me, and he said, "Anita, I've noticed that you don't read my letters like you read hers." You see her letters, as I said before, they were a treasure. I couldn't get enough of it, like, 'cause I'd never seen her.
Uh, it's like, oh, she's real And all of a sudden it hit me. Oh my words, I've never seen God. And you know, sometimes He doesn't feel real because I haven't seen Him, met Him face to face yet. But here are these letters, and when I open and read His letters, just like when I'd open and read Twyla's letters, I felt like I was in her presence.
And so I realized that when I open the Word of God, it is putting me in His presence in a more deliberate way. And, oh my word, it just changes everything. And so that day is when I, I just said to the Lord, "I will never read my Bible again for the sake of just reading it. I'm gonna read it so I can know you."
And, um, the simple plan, do you mind if I share at this point? Yeah. Okay. Please, go ahead. This was my simple plan. Moms, this is what I did. Uh, to... It was so simple. It's too simple that it's, uh, people can't do it sometimes. But I said, "Well, okay. I j- Jesus, I wanna know you better." So I thought, "Well, I'm gonna start in the Gospels."
And I got a little journal, and I opened my Bible to Matthew, and at the top of my journal, first page, I wrote, "Jesus, I wanna know you. What do you want me to know today?" And I read Matthew chapter one, and I wrote down the three things I learned about Jesus that day. Number one was, wow, you have a lot of relatives, because that's how Matthew starts out.
And then I saw where he says, "Your name is Emmanuel." You know, God with us. That's huge if we really believe it. And then the last one that I wrote down was, it says, "You came to save me. I need saved." And so it was just that simple. That is how I began opening my Bible to read for the joy of knowing Jesus versus, oh, I better read my Bible today.
I mean, it's a privilege that we get to know Jesus. Like, when I got those letters from Twyla, my birth daughter, that was a privilege. She didn't owe that to me. But she gave me that treasure, that privilege, and we have this amazing treasure of God's Word.
Everything we need for life is right there. , I just started viewing every day as, oh my word, this is my chance to know Jesus, and what He wants to do with that's up to Him, but I don't wanna miss this opportunity. And that's how I got started, Anne, and it changed... 📍 📍 📍 It was transformative for me.
Um, so that's my answer. Okay. That's good. That's really good. What I heard in what you said was it was a mindset shift. It was a change of mind because you had a realization that this daughter that you love that was far from you, that you wanted to draw her close to you so you could love her and show her that you loved her.
And so you wanted her to read your letters. And when you got her letter, because you loved her so much, you wanted to read her letter. So you wanted to read each other's mail. And so Bible study is like that. It's where we read God's mail, and He reads ours, um, back to Him through prayer. And you've mentioned some practical tools already, but are there other practical tools or rhythms you have found helpful in staying consistent seeking God first?
You know, that's a great question. For my personality, I know that if I don't have a plan in place, it, it can slip out, get away from me sometime. So I'm always, uh, using devotionals. I, I don't wanna say devotionals, 'cause to me, devotionals, uh, they're great. I use them. But a devotional was written by someone who read their Bible-
and wrote some thoughts. Yeah. So in Joy Shop Ministries, that is my heart for women, for youth, whoever, that they would read the Bible for themselves and in essence write their own devotional. You know, you're r- you're writing down what you heard God saying to you, you know? And so, uh, my plan always includes reading the Bible for myself, and there's zillions of plans out there, you know, that you can get.
And it can just be as simple as I'm gonna read one chapter a day. You know, that's a plan. But if you don't have a plan, mm, you might not be as successful at it. So find that plan. That's number one. And when... I usually pick a year plan, but you don't have to do that. But I'm always thinking, come fall, I'm thinking, "What am I gonna do starting January?"
Because I just know myself. If I skip a few days, next thing you know, I've skipped a month. Right. Uh, so a plan is just very important. So what, what works for your personalities. All of our personalities are different. What draws you close to God? Right now I've done something I haven't done ever, and I'm getting, um, online, uh, Shane & Shane.
It's a worship initiative. It's five days a week. I love it, 'cause I start my quiet time before I get into the Word singing a song, you know, with them. It's about you singing a song. So this is something new I'm doing right now. Nice. And it's fun. So I think it's important, too, to mix things up and all. But at the end of the day, you have to choose.
Am I gonna spend time with God or not? And that's the first thing. You gotta choose it first. Uh, ch- choose this day whom you're gonna serve. So it starts with a choice. 📍 📍 📍 We make a choice, then you need a plan, and then you just gotta show up You gotta show up, you know? And your book, Seeking God First, what is that book like?
Um, what, how was it written? How does it equip women to make time with God a life-changing priority? Okay, I'm so glad you asked that, because that book was actually written as a result of a six-week Bible study that I have online, and so many people said, "Oh, I wish you would put this in book format." So I did hire a ghostwriter to help me to take a video content and turn it into a book, 'cause I wasn't smart enough to know how to do that.
Uh, but I, uh, this is what I'm gonna say. If any of you mothers have access to RightNow Media, that is a digital platform. A lot of churches have it. My Bible study, the video Bible study, is on that. It's called The Joy of Seeking God First, and like, it's 14 years old now, but people are still watching it.
I'm always blown away. I look a lot younger then than I do today. Uh, but, uh, if you go to that, the Bible study series, and then you go to my website, joyeshop.org, I have really good companion workbooks that go with the Bible study. Uh, and so, and you don't have to do that, but the workbook's actually, in my mind, very good, and I tell people, "Keep that workbook handy," 'cause it's like the kick in the butt you need sometimes.
Mm-hmm. You know, excuse me, but that's, some of us need that, you know? It's also on YouTube. The Bible study is on YouTube. Okay. But the book is actually written based on the video series, but it's different. You know, it's not the Bible study. I, I mean, there's questions in the book, but, uh, and there's...
Like, if you do it as a book club, there's questions to do like that, but they're, they're the same but different, if that makes sense. And also, if you don't mind me mentioning this, 📍 📍 on Amazon as well is my first book, called The File: A Mother and Child's Life-Changing Reunion, and that's my story 📍 📍 📍 of the teen pregnancy and all of that, so.
Okay. Uh, yeah. Well, that's great. I thank you for these practical resources, because sometimes you're right. We do need a kick in the pants to get us back going. That's right. Not in a, not in a bad way, but in a loving way, because discipline really is love, and when God wants us to be disciplined, it's out of love, not out of hostility or anger.
But it's really out of love and care and, and concern for our spiritual growth, concern for us, for the transformation that He desires for us. Um, 2 Timothy 3:16, the Word of God is, um, there for our transformation, to correct us, to rebuke us, to train us in righteousness- Yes ... so that we can be the people that He wants us to be.
Yeah. And so I love that you pointed out that, uh, the love letter with your daughter was a revelation of God's Word to us as a love letter to us, and how much He wants us to know Him. Even though we cannot see Him, we can know Him by what He has given us in His Word and what we see in His creation, His eternal power, His divine nature.
We can see all that through His written word and through the word that He experiences to us in our hearts as we spend time with Him. And unless you spend time with Him, you're not gonna see it in the same way. And I think it was very important that you pointed out that, um, it- Our season with our time with God may look different, but we should have a, a central prioritized time with God.
So a mom with six kids at home under eight, her season with God may be- Yeah ... less timely than an empty nester's season or a- Absolutely ... mom's season whose kids are more self-sufficient. Yeah. But she still has the season, and I think that that's what your point is, is that have the season. Have the time with God as a priority, and get to know, to get to know your loving Heavenly Father, because He loves you more than you could ever love Him.
Mm-hmm. And then model that for your kids. Model that, um, relationship with them. Don't just tell them to have their devotion or their quiet- Yeah ... time or, "We need to do this." And I know that, I don't know about you, Anita, but there have been times in my mothering, I'm like, "You need to do this," and then, like you, I realize, I'm like, "Well, I'm not doing that."
I know. So let me get busy doing that, because they will certainly point that out. They will. They definitely will. Would they pity? Would they pity? You know, I wanted to s- add something, uh, that pop, a vision, a, a memory popped in my head as you were sharing about the different seasons. Uh, when I was nursing twins, now I wasn't seeking God first, per se, in that season of life.
You're just in survival mode. Yeah. Uh, but I still knew and understood the importance of that I need the Word in me to survive. And I remember buying those spiral index cards. Yeah. And I would write verses that I just loved or felt I needed on those verse, those cards. And while I was nursing, I would just sit with that index card, and that's how I got God's Word in me.
Because, I mean, I love to nurse my kids, but when you're nursing two, that takes a lot of time. Yeah. And that was, that was a powerful way. You know, ask, this is something fun I like to tell people to do. Whatever season you're in- Pray and ask God to give you a creative way to meet with Him. And He will answer that, because He wants to meet with you more than you wanna meet with Him, to be honest.
And so if you ask, you will receive. And it's kind of fun. He will give you ways to meet with Him, 📍 📍 📍 uh, in the season that you're in. Yes, He will. And including your kids in that, too. Mm-hmm. You know, if time is short, and you want to have devotion time, uh, even though you may want that individualized time with God, but if you are prioritizing time with God with your family in a certain season- Yeah
I know for a personal experience, I have grown from that time myself. Um, I have learned something in sharing a devotion or a time with God with the family that I didn't know before- Of course ... or, or met with God in that way at that time. So certainly, God will answer our prayer. He will give us the desires of our heart.
Mm-hmm. And His heart for us is to know and s- love Him, and we can only do that through His Word. Mm-hmm. So creative. I love creativity. I think that that is really essential. And using our giftings. Yeah. You know, some people learn by visuals. Some people learn by, um, by hearing, by audible. Some people learn by actually doing or acting it out.
So recognize how you learn best, and lean into that I think is really important, too. Yes, I agree 100%. Anita, it has been a pleasure, uh, to have you on The Faith Mom Mentor. How can the Faith Mom community connect with you and learn more about your books and your resources and what you have to offer? Well, I have a website.
It's called Joy Shop, J-O-Y-S-H-O-P.org. And Joy Shop, I don't know, I didn't know it was gonna turn into a ministry, but when I started teaching my workshop, I would say, "You know, we're gonna be working, but it's gonna turn into joy," and it just kinda morphed into, oh, Joy Shop. Come to a Joy Shop. But, uh, honestly, I...
You can just go to my website. There's a place if you're looking for a speaker. I'm not out trying to drum up business. I just trust the Holy Spirit, where He feels He needs me, send me. But I do a lot of women's retreats, uh, one-night events. I do youth groups, youth retreats. Uh, I just love cheering on others to s- be in the Word and to seek Jesus, and it's a privilege.
I don't... Really, I don't charge. I, I just come to serve, you know? And I'm retired. I can do that. It's so much fun. And so, uh, that's the best way. There's, uh... You'll... On the website, there's a tab that I think says, "Book an event." Not that you have to book an event, but you'll see an ema- email for info at Joy Shop, and whatever you send there will get to me, you know, from my assistant.
So that's really probably the ba- best way, uh, to reach out. Or I am on Facebook, but I have Joy Shop and I have Anita Keagy, uh, so I can be messaged through that, too. 📍 📍 📍 But that's about it. I- I'm busy being a grandma. I love it. That's a fun time. That is- It is a great time ... a really fun time. Yeah. Well, Anita, thank you so much for joining us today.
Your insights have been so helpful to shine a light on the importance of prioritizing our faith and our time with God. And everyone, I will link Anita's, um, web- her website and the things that she mentioned in the description, so be sure to check those out and lean into Anita and her resources. Let's remember, everyone, to have your faith rooted and to allow these practices to bear fruit in your life.
You have to spend time with God to get it in the system. You have to be receptive to it, and t- and that takes time sometimes. And I'm wondering, do you feel inspired? 📍 📍 If you do, be sure to like this video and hit the subscribe button for more conversations that will help us navigate our faith journeys together.
Let's make room for God in our daily life and wait upon Him for the transformation that He desires to give each of us.
