Mom… have you ever seen your child feel scared all of a sudden?
Their heart beats fast.
They feel like something is wrong.
And you wonder, “What do I do?”
Maybe you have felt that way too.
That tight feeling.
Those fast thoughts.
That fear that won’t stop.
First, hear this:
π You are not alone.
π Your child is not alone.
Many kids feel anxiety. Many moms do too.
But you don’t have to stay stuck there.
1. Run to God First
Psalm 7 shows us what to do.
David did not try to fix everything.
He did not panic.
π He ran to God.
Think about a little child in a big place.
They don’t figure things out.
π They run to their mom.
That is what you can do.
When fear starts, say:
π “God, I trust You right now.”
2. Check What Is True
Not every feeling means something is wrong.
Sometimes feelings are loud… but not true.
Like a smoke alarm going off when there is no fire.
It sounds real.
But there is no danger.
Ask:
π “Is this true?”
π “Or just scary?”
Then say:
π “God, show me what is true.”
3. Rest in God’s Word
God sees everything.
And because of Jesus…
π You are forgiven
π You are accepted
π You are safe
It is like a judge saying:
π “The case is closed.”
You don’t have to keep worrying.
You can rest.
4. Use Your Shield
The Bible says to use faith like a shield.
Bad thoughts will come:
π “Something is wrong”
π “You’re not safe”
But you can answer back:
π “God is with me”
π “I am safe in Him”
π “I am forgiven”
Say it out loud.
Truth stops fear.
5. Keep Your Eyes on God
David ended with praise.
Not fear.
Not panic.
π Praise.
Why?
Because he chose to focus on God.
When you keep looking at fear… it grows.
When you look at God… peace grows.
Say:
π “God, I trust You more than this feeling.”
The Best News (The Gospel)
You don’t get peace because you are perfect.
π You get peace because of Jesus.
He died.
He was buried.
He rose again.
That means:
π Your sins are forgiven
π You belong to God
π You are safe with Him
One Simple Step for Today
Sit down and read Psalm 7.
Ask:
π What does this show me about God?
π What does this show me about me?
π What should I do?
Remember This
When fear comes…
π Run to God, not your fear.
You can lead your home in peace.
One moment at a time.
