What Did Paul Warn Us About?

In 2 Timothy 3, Paul said that perilous times would come.

That means hard times.
Dangerous times.
Confusing times.

He said people would love themselves. They would love money. They would be proud. They would be disobedient to parents. They would have a form of godliness but deny the power of God.

Does that sound familiar?

This is why Christian parenting cannot be Sunday only.

Your tween needs more than rules.

Your tween needs truth.

What If Your Child Seems Far From God?

Think about Saul.

Saul hated Christians. He hurt them. He tried to stop the church.

He looked impossible to reach.

But then Jesus met Saul on the road to Damascus.

Saul was changed by the power of God.

That means there is hope.

• There is hope for the questioning child.
• There is hope for the hard heart.
• There is hope for the child who seems uninterested.
• There is hope for the mom who feels tired and unsure.

God can reach anyone. So keep praying.

What If Faith Is Built in Small Moments?

Now think about Timothy.

Timothy learned the Scriptures when he was young.

His mother and grandmother helped shape his faith.

They did not need a big stage.

Their mission field was the home.

• The kitchen table mattered.
• The quiet prayers mattered.
• The Scripture reading mattered.
• The daily example mattered.

Mom, your faith shapes the air your family breathes.

You may not see all the fruit today.

But steady faith still matters.

What Does a Faith Mom Do?

A faith mom does not have to be perfect.

She simply keeps pointing her home back to God.

Here are three simple ways to stand firm.

1. Prayer Is the Steering Wheel

Prayer is not just for emergencies.

Prayer helps guide your home.

• Pray for your tween’s heart.
• Pray for their mind.
• Pray for their friendships.
• Pray for their future.
• Pray for their protection.

Also, pray with your child.

Let them hear you talk to God when you are worried.
Let them hear you thank God when He helps.
Let them see that prayer is for real life.

2. Go After the Heart, Not Just the Behavior

It is easy to say, “Stop doing that.”

But heart formation asks a deeper question:

“What is happening in the heart?”

Your tween needs correction.

But they also need discipleship.

They need to learn how to ask:

• What does God say?
• What is true?
• What is wise?
• What does my heart want right now?
• How can I obey God in this moment?

This is how faith becomes part of everyday life.

3. Teach Them to See Clearly

You cannot hide your child from the world forever.

But you can help them see the world through God’s Word.

• Talk about pride.
• Talk about selfishness.
• Talk about truth.
• Talk about friendships.
• Talk about loving God more than pleasure.

These talks do not have to be long.

They can happen in the car.
At dinner.
Before bed.
After a hard day at school.

Small talks can build strong faith.

What Does Noah Teach Us?

Noah lived in a wicked time.

But Noah obeyed God.

He built the ark by faith.

He warned others.
He led his family.
He trusted God’s Word more than the world around him.

Mom, you may not be building a wooden ark.

But you are building something.

You are building a home of faith.

• A home of prayer.
• A home of truth.
• A home where God is honored.

That matters.
