Faith Mom Scripture Anchor Bundle
A simple way to hide God’s Word in your heart
When I first began intentionally prioritizing time in God’s Word, I noticed something interesting.
Certain verses would speak directly to my heart.
Sometimes they encouraged me.
Sometimes they corrected me.
Sometimes they taught me something new about God.
And I found myself thinking:
I don’t want to lose this verse.
So I started doing something very simple.
I wrote the verse on a 3×5 index card and dropped it into a little recipe box.
That was it.
No complicated system.
No perfect plan.
Just a growing collection of Scripture that had personally spoken to me.
Over time, something beautiful began to happen.
Those verses became leftovers.
Not leftovers in the sense of something forgotten, but something I could return to again and again.
It reminded me of a time I bought a slice of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Instead of eating it all at once, I took a few bites each day until it was gone.
But here is the difference.
When you store leftovers from the Word of God, they never run out.
You can return to them again and again, and they still nourish your heart.
Why Hiding God’s Word Matters
The Bible repeatedly reminds us that storing Scripture in our hearts changes how we live.
Psalm 119:11 says:
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
When truth is inside of you, it becomes available exactly when you need it.
Think about Jesus in the wilderness.
When Satan tempted Him, Jesus didn’t reach for a book.
He didn’t search for a sermon.
He quoted the Word of God from memory.
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4
The Word stored within Him became His defense.
The same thing happened with Paul and Silas in prison.
At midnight, locked in chains, they began praising God.
Their circumstances were dark, but their hearts were filled with truth. And God used that moment to open the prison doors (Acts 16:25–26).
When Scripture is stored inside you, it becomes strength for moments you cannot predict.
The Simple Scripture Anchor System
Over time, my little box of verses became what I now call a Scripture Anchor Bundle.
It is simply a way to capture, store, and revisit the Word of God regularly.
And it requires only five simple tools.
1. A Bible
📖 Learn More HERE
As you read each day, watch for verses that speak to you—truths that encourage, correct, or reveal something about God.
Choose a clear Bible translation, not a paraphrase. Good options include:
English Standard Version (ESV)
King James Version (KJV)
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
New International Version (NIV)
New Living Translation (NLT)
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17
Your Bible is the source of every anchor.

Using colorful pens or marking key words helps you notice what stands out in the verse.
Sometimes I underline a phrase that comforted me.
Sometimes I circle a word that revealed something about God.
These small details make the verses more personal.

5. A Way to Move and Review
For me, this became my treadmill.
(Similar to the one I used.)

When I walked, I would take my recipe box with me and flip through those cards.
Step after step, I would repeat the verses aloud.
Slowly.
Quietly.
Over and over again.
Movement helped me focus on one thing at a time—the Scripture.
You could do the same while walking outside, folding laundry, or sitting quietly.
The key is simply repetition.

Why This Practice Is So Powerful
This simple rhythm does something profound.
Your intentional time with God produces leftovers.
Truth you can revisit for days.
Truth that becomes available during difficult moments.
Truth that strengthens you when you feel weak.
Isaiah 40:8 reminds us:
“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
Your Scripture Anchor Bundle becomes a collection of truth that can never be taken away from you.
Circumstances may change.
People may disappoint.
But the Word stored in your heart remains.
You Don’t Need All These Tools
Let me be clear.
You do not need a special system.
You only need:
A Bible
A way to write the verse down
A place to store it
A habit of returning to it
That is enough.
Everything else is simply support.
The Real Treasure
Jesus said in Matthew 13:44 that the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field.
The Word of God is that treasure.
When you begin storing Scripture in your heart, you are quietly building a treasure that will strengthen you for years to come.
And one day, when a difficult moment arrives…
You may discover that the very verse you stored months ago is the one that anchors you in that moment.
That is the power of hiding God’s Word in your heart.
And that is why a simple Scripture Anchor Bundle can become one of the most valuable rhythms in a Faith Mom’s life.
