A simple, joyful way to help your child see and understand the path to Jesus

Mom… what if sharing the gospel felt clear, simple, and even fun?

💛 What You’ll Do (Simple Plan)

The evening of the event, you will:

• Have a flashlight egg hunt at night

• Use Resurrection Eggs to tell the story of Jesus

• Let your child draw the story in a comic page

• Use a maze toy to show there is only one way to God

Then sit, talk, and enjoy a snack together.

That’s it.

Give each child a flashlight.

Open each egg and read a short part of the story.

🥚 1. Donkey – Jesus Comes as King

📖 Matthew 21:6–9
“Jesus sat on a donkey… the people cried, Hosanna!”

👉 Jesus came as a King—but gentle and full of love.

🥚 2. Coins – Judas Betrays Jesus

📖 Matthew 26:14–15
“They paid him thirty pieces of silver.”

👉 Judas was paid money to turn Jesus over.

🥚 3. Cup – The Last Supper

📖 Luke 22:19–20
“This is my body… this cup is the new covenant in my blood.”

👉 Jesus shared a special meal and told them what would happen.

🥚 4. Praying Hands – Jesus Prays

📖 Luke 22:41–42
“Not my will, but yours be done.”

👉 Jesus prayed and chose to obey God.

🥚 5. Whip – Jesus Is Hurt

📖 John 19:1
“Pilate took Jesus and had him whipped.”

👉 Jesus suffered, even though He did nothing wrong.

🥚 6. Crown of Thorns – Jesus Is Mocked

“They put a crown of thorns on His head.”

👉 People made fun of Jesus and hurt Him.

“They crucified Him.”

👉 Jesus died on the cross for our sin.

“I see the nail marks in His hands.”

👉 Jesus was nailed to the cross.

“One of the soldiers pierced His side.”

👉 This showed Jesus truly died.

📖 Matthew 27:59–60
“They wrapped Him in clean linen cloth.”

👉 Jesus was placed in a tomb.

📖 Matthew 27:66
“They sealed the stone.”

👉 The tomb was shut and guarded.

“He is not here: for He is risen!”

👉 The tomb is empty—Jesus is alive!

Now give your child the blank comic page.

👉 “Draw the story in order.”

Let them fill each box:

• Jesus came

• Jesus died

• Jesus was buried

• Jesus rose again

Then ask:

👉 “Can you tell me the story in your own words?”

This helps them know it for themselves.

Give them the maze toy.

Pause.

👉 “God made one way to fix sin too.”

Look at your child and say:

👉 “Jesus made a way for you.”
👉 “He died for your sin.”
👉 “He is alive today.”
👉 “You can trust Him.”

Then ask:

👉 “What do you think about this?”
👉 “What does this mean for you?”

🌿 Why This Matters

Faith Mom… you are not trying to be perfect.

You are simply:

• Showing the truth

• Repeating the truth

• Letting your child see the truth

And God does the rest.

The path Jesus took looked dark.

It looked lonely.

But it was the clear path.

And when your child learns this…

They will begin to see:

👉 God has made a way
👉 The way is Jesus
👉 And the path is clear

You just need a clear path.
